Monitor SEO results on the fly

Today's free coaching resource is one that I have used at various times over the last 3 years. SEO Quake is a free toolbar program that allows you to monitor seo in real time. You can track your own website or your competitors. From talking with several web designers and programmers, most use SEO Quake for a time, but not an everyday part of their business.

As far as seo tools for beginners go, this is an excellent learning tool. Basically, you go to www.seoquake.com and download the toolbar to your browser. Important note: SEO Quake will not work in Internet Explorer browsers. It works well in Mozilla Firefox. There are other browsers that it may work in, but my suggestion is to be safe, use Firefox. When you go to their page, you will find instructions for downloading the toolbar and where to find Firefox if you do not have it already.

There are several indicators that you can monitor from the SEO Quake toolbar. Indicators like Google page rank, Bing search engine results, Yahoo, and Alexa site ranking, to name a few. If I just lost you on these terms, don't worry. There are plenty of resources on how to understand these terms and how they apply to you and your website. You can find videos and tutorials by doing Google searches that will be a trove of information to help you.

A great feature of SEO Quake is the ability to look at any site and see the search engine metrics. You can analyze competitors, similiar sites, and any other site you want to see stats on. If you were to do this research yourself, it would be very time consuming. The ease of use and simplicity factor way in heavy on making this a valuable resource. You can also look at which keywords a website ranks for and get a listing of backlinks.

Before hearing the backlash from SEO Quake critics, let me say, this is a good tool. It is not a perfect tool. As far as free coaching resources, it is good, but not great. There are still imperfections in this software, but it will give you an idea of where your website stands in the world of SEO. It is not the gold standard of SEO resources. There are problems with site age, and search engine spider results. But, don't let this keep you from looking at this site.

There are better SEO tools out there, but most of them are monthly subscriptions, or 1 time large purchases. If your coaching practice is in the position to buy programs like this, I would suggest doing so. However, most of our readers are just starting out and cash flow is not at the level to invest in expensive programs to get higher search engine rankings.

It is always an eye opening experience to look at how your website ranks. Don't worry. Everyone's site could use some work. If you are not ranking where you want to be, don't get upset. Take a breath, and look for ways to improve your site.

The weekend is finally here. Please have a safe and happy weekend.

Red Hot Internet Publicity

Today's free coaching resource comes to us by way of Amazon Kindle. Red Hot Internet Publicity is an information packed book that teaches new coaches and experienced pros, the ins and outs of getting more website traffic.

Perusing through this book, I must say it is very comprehensive in its scope. Starting out with SEO and your website, and then social media, blogging, and driving traffic, it delivers ideas on how to make your web presence "red hot."

There are the basics as well as advanced tips for everyone to have a website that gets more traffic, more prospects, and converts more sales.

Click here to get this free Kindle ebook

If your website needs a makeover, or it is not making you money, this is a book you need. In coaching, the purpose of your website is to make you money. Your coaching website should not be a hobby, but a cash machine. It should be built to accomplish this. Before you start building your site, you should keep this in mind.

I know some of you may be saying, "This is not what I signed up for when I decided to become a life coach." But, sales and marketing is the life blood of any business. Your coaching practice is your business, and it should reflect it, as well.

If you are doing this solo, without a web designer, I suggest taking it a little at a time. Don't try to accomplish it all at once. You will be overwhelmed. If you do have a web designer, this will give you something to point out the direction you want your site to go. Remember, your site does not have to be the best on the web, but it must be better than your competitor's.

I especially like how the author broke down each facet of social media. Again, from my own experience, and my client's experience, start with one social media network. And, as you gain experience and proficiency, you can add another. The main purpose of your social media presence is to drive traffic to your site.

There is so much more to this book, as well. How to do effective blogging. Using video to drive more traffic to your site. And, some very good information on building mobile friendly websites.

There are added resources at the end of this book that can help you find the right web hosting company and design a vibrant, thriving website that builds your coaching practice to the level you desire.

Please get this free coaching resource, and let me know what you think. Email me at info@100coachingtips.com

And for my new readers, you can get over $1700 in free coaching resources to download at www.100coachingtips.com . Simply sign in, and download these tools from some of the best coaches in the business. These resources are yours to keep.

The weekend is fast upon us. Let's enjoy, recharge, and plan for an exciting week.

Need more coaching clients? Free video

While finding free coaching resources for our blog readers, I try to find relevant tools and resources that can help new coaches build their coaching practices. I also try to provide a variety of free coaching tools and resources, so it will help a broader base of coaches. Will every resource I list help every single life coach? No, but every resource I list can help some life coaches, and even other coaches and entrepreneurs. I also read the comments, and look for problems coaches are having, and try to find free coaching resources that will help them.

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive is, 'How do I find new clients?" There is no one size fits all answer for this question. However, there are a set of answers that will work for most new coaches. There are several variables in finding new clients. The good news is, once you know the set of answers or fundamental truths, you can begin enrolling new clients.

I know most life coaches I speak with do not really know much about marketing, online or physical. When you were in the process of becoming a life coach, you probably thought that once you received your certification, people would come find you. Unfortunately, this is not how it works in the real world.

Another problem new coaches have is converting a qualified prospect into a paying client. Many new coaches start talking to prospects and have no idea how to enroll them.  They fumble through a free session, and end up losing the prospect. Their conversation usually ends with, "Well, give me a call if you ever need a coach." The truth is, this prospect will never call you back.

My friend, Carey Peters, at Holistic MBA, with her business partner Stacey Morgenstern, have created a free 4 video series that can specifically help coaches get more paying clients. This is an excellent video series that you should listen to several times to get all of the valuable content out of these videos. I have watched them and they are top quality. These are not 5 minute quick videos, but in depth videos with explanations and some role play to show you how to convert prospects into
clients.

If Carey Peters sounds familiar to you, I posted an earlier blog about her niche starter kit. If you have not downloaded it, please do. It is a very good pdf explaining on how to determine the viability of your niche.

If you are a new coach and struggling to find clients, don't feel alone. Also, don't feel like it's your fault that you cannot find paying clients. I talk with so many coaches who feel that their dream of being a coach is nothing but an expensive hobby, but it doesn't have to be that way. Just by learning what is in these videos and taking action on that information, can transform your coaching practice into a thriving business. I know you have valuable information that can be used to help someone. With these videos, you can find that someone and coach them to their desired results.

Please let me know what you think of these videos. I value your feedback.

Also, feel free to contact me: info@100coachingtips.com with any coaching or coaching business questions.

Paul Berry wants to reinvent website design

Today's free coaching resource is a bit of a surprise. Before reading an article earlier today, I had never heard of Rebel Mouse. It was created by Paul Berry. Paul created The Huffington Post in 2007, from scratch. He built one of the most dynamic websites in history.

Now he has revolutionized websites for everyone. Now you can create a website without any prior website building experience, and it will pull your social media posts in and post them on your site. Its purpose is to help create a visual presence on the web with social media. How does this differ from FlipBoard and other similiar sites? Mainly, it is editorial control. You can move items around on your page, and change or delete items as well.

Rebel Mouse can also be embedded into other sites such as Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, and Weebly. If you would like to see an example of a Rebel Mouse site, check out http://paulcarr.com/.
This is just one example of how a Rebel Mouse site can be designed.

It seems that this may be a sign of coming websites in the next wave of websites with continually updated fresh content. He has struck such a chord in the internet sphere that Yahoo and Mashable are testing his service. I looked at some of his clients and the first one that popped out at me was Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

Being a free coaching resource, it has to meet certain criteria. Namely, it has to have at least one feature that is free. Rebel Mouse does have a beginner package that is totally free. You can upgrade if you want more premium features.

I am going to be checking out some of the Rebel Mouse features myself, and see if it will enhance the overall experience of our 100 Coaching Tips site. I am going to keep our basic site premise, though. I don't know exactly how it will work. I would suggest taking a look at his site and see if this is something that would interest you. I am not saying change your websites to complete Rebel Mouse. I can see this working for some of my coaching clients who have trouble trying to build a WordPress site. Remember, there is more than one flavor of ice cream for a reason. We all like different things.

Again, check this out, see what you think, and let me know. Either here in the comments section, or email me at: info@100coachingtips.com.

For my new readers out there, please claim your free coaching gifts from us. They are valued at over $1700. Go to www.100coachingtips.com, sign up and you can start downloading. No waiting period, no strings attached.

The most simple social media tool I have found

Today's free coaching resource is one I'm sure you have all heard of, but either do not use it, or quit using it. Hoot Suite is one of the most effective ways to get you blog posts, articles, and offers out on social media without having to actually go to each social media page or group and enter them by hand.

I discovered in the early days that if you try to make your social media networks aware of your new content by visiting each one individually, it takes significant time. I used to post to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and my 50 Linkedin groups individually. This took about an hour and a half, if everything went smoothly. I tried HootSuite, and I was hooked! I can post to over 100 social media profiles in mere minutes. (All of these profiles are mine, or I'm a group member of them. You cannot post to someone's social media profile without their permission.) Currently I post to 108 total profiles and it takes about 3 minutes. I even schedule these posts in advance, if I see I will be away for a few days.

Most coaches I have spoken with try the free version of Hoot Suite, which allows 4 social media profiles. They try it for a while, but for some reason fail to continue. I will state this again to new coaches: If you are a new coach, without a large network, you will get significant traffic from social media, if done right.

I discovered that Hoot Suite also has a Pro plan, or a paid plan. This costs me $9.97 a month to be able to send unlimited social media broadcasts to my profiles. If you are in Linkedin groups, you can have your Hoot Suite posts appear in the group activity. (With group permission, of course.) Also, you can post to your Facebook profile and your Facebook fanpage. And, Twitter becomes a breeze with Hoot Suite.

Hoot Suite also has built in analytics report builders. If you have Google analytics, you can permit Hoot Suite to perform reports at your specified schedule. If you have ever seen an ow.ly link, this is Hoot Suite analytics. It can tell you where you traffic source came from and if it is a unique visit. Most new visitors come to this blog from Linkedin discussions that I submit through Hoot Suite.

Best of all, Hoot Suite is offering a 30 day free trial of their Pro plan. Try it and if you don't like it, you can stay with a free account with no strings attached. Not to sound too "pitchy" here, but WAIT THERE'S MORE..., sorry Lol. I've always wanted to do that. After my 30 day free trial, I was so impressed, I signed up for the Pro plan, and have used it ever since. You can also post to Youtube, Reddit, Stumbleupon, and many more networks, at no additional cost in the Pro plan.

Simply click on one of the HootSuite graphics and get started with your free trial today.

Free SEO Toolbox

Today's free coaching resource is buffet of all you can use SEO tools. SEO and content creation and content repurposing is a critically important factor in getting you website discovered and keeping it at the top of search engine rankings. But, more content may not be better. If, you content is not original, or at least 70% original, you might get penalized by search engines.

Being penalized by search engines bad, but not neccessarily the death knell of your site. The worst case scenario is the search engines will block your site from being listed due to duplicate content, or plagiarized content.

In the days before Google Penguin and Panda, if you needed content, you went to a competitor's site and swiped content, 100%. Many people didn't change it, not even a word. Today, that will get you blocked by every search engine there is. I strongly urge you not to copy anyone's content.

The advent of Penguin and Panda not only prevents you from swiping someone's content, but will also ding you if you are posting duplicate content as well. Duplicate content is when you re-use a page or blog with no changes, while citing the work as 100% original. If you do this too many times, you can ruin your name with search engines.

All of this said, I do recommend re-purposing your content. How is this done? You take the article or blog post that you have just written, and re-write it using different wording, but it still has the same overall theme. This can be burdensome to say the least, if you are doing this with no help. It reminds me of school, when we used to do "research" papers by re-writing what the Encyclopedia Britannica said. I'm not saying I did it. It's just what I heard.....Um,yeah

But, there is good news out there. I have found a free seo tool website that allows you to use their seo tools not only free, but 100% no strings attached. No signing in, no registering, and no agreements. This is not a free trial, then an ongoing monthly expense. This is one of the best tools for seo beginners I have found yet.

www.smallseotools.com

This is so much more than just an article checker or rewriter. It lets you check Google page rank, check backlinks, and do reverse IP checking just to name a few features. Personally, I have purchased programs that did not do this much. It also has an article rewriter that is one of the easiest to use that I have ever seen. And it has a web "pingler." This is their own term for a pinger. A pinger or pingler lets you notify search engines when you have a new web page or blog posted.
Otherwise, you have to wait for them to get to you.

They also have a backlink creator. Let me issue a word of caution here. Be very careful letting someone else generate backlinks for you. Too many backlinks at a time sets off alarms at search engines, letting them know it is fake. Also, never buy backlinks. This is prohibited by search engines, and is a sure way to get your website knocked off the search engines for good.

I do recommend you check out www.smallseotools.com . It is a great resource on the web. If you are just starting out, this can be a game changer for your coaching business.

Also, if you want to contact me: info@100coachingips.com. I am always happy to hear from you, and answer any questions. I also appreciate your kind comments.

And, if you haven't already, please obtain your free coaching tools worth over $1700. Go to www.100coachingtips.com and sign up. You can then begin downloading these tools, no strings attached.

Ahhh, the weekend is over far too fast. Back to the grind. I hop everyone has a great week.

7 Days to a Successful Blog

Whether we like it or not, blogging is a must if you are going to build a community of prospects for your coaching practice. Maybe you are just starting out. Maybe you are a seasoned veteran. But, whatever you would categorize yourself as, blogging is as much of a successful web presence as your website. Maybe even more, depending on who you ask.

Maybe you didn't realize the importance of blogging when you decided to become a life coach. Maybe, when getting your training and becoming a life coach, blogging was never mentioned or taught to you. But, whatever reason, there is no excuse for not blogging. I'm not speaking of the blogging so many do, that talks about what they had for breakfast, or who broke up with whom. I'm talking about delivering high quality content to your tribe or community through your blog.

There are so many ways to start blogging. And, there are many more people out there who want to tell you how to blog. The possibilities are practically endless. But, we all must start somewhere. So where do you start?

For today's free coaching resource, I have found a free 7 day video bootcamp that will show you how to be a successful blogger. This free video series will show you what options there are, and how to get started.

I have viewed the videos and they are full of useful information to help you get a step ahead of the competition. Click here to sign up for the free 7 day video bootcamp. Doon't let the word bootcamp scare you off. These videos are concise and to the point. They show you what you need to know without the senseless drivel or self aggrandizement that is common today.

Please take some time to check this out. I think everyone can learn something from these videos.

Also, the weekend is almost over. Where does the time go? Take some time to enjoy life, whether spending it with friends and family, or resting and recharging for the upcoming week.

If you would like to contact me: info@100coachingtips.com

And to our new readers, which we get quite a few each day, please go to www.100coachingtips.com and sign up, and you can download $1700 worth of free coaching tools.

Free Amazon Keyword Tool

Amazon is a force to be recognized. But don't worry. I am not suggesting that you or anyone try to take on a giant of their caliber. It would be crazy. But, what if there was a way to see what is selling best on Amazon, and then, structure your products to those keywords?

In the last several years, Amazon has become the largest online retailer for both digital and physical products. Also, Amazon is the third most popular search engine in the world. What is great news is that the people using Amazon as their search engine, are typically buyers. They are looking for something, and when they find it, they will buy it.

So, how do we get you to the top of the Amazon search rankings? There are 2 ways to try this. First, look at the top items in your niche, one by one, and see what keywords they have optimized. Second, find an Amazon keyword tool, and let it do the heavy lifting for you. There are several Amazon keyword tools out there. Each has its own merits. But, recently I have found a free Amazon keyword tool that allows users to search a keyword's results and show which are worth pursuing.

Merchant Words is the tool I am referring to. They are in beta test mode now. This means that they are still perfecting their keyword tool. However, it did have several features available in beta that make it worth trying out.

For instance, you search for a keyword. Let's say "coaching." It will show Amazon searches for coaching and any keyword that has coaching in the title. It then will rank them, and show them in the order you desire: ascending, descending, or alphabetically. You can then download them into a CSV file for Excel and keep them for future reference. Merchant Words uses a scoring system of 10-100 to rank Amazon searches. The top is of course 100 and then scores the rest from there. Although the scoring is a little bit broad, for a free keyword tool, this is still a good way to get started.

Click here to look at Merchant Words.

And after you have found the keywords you want to use, Amazon has a blog page that shows you how to utilize your keywords in an effective way. Click here for the blog post.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

The Secret Weapon of Coaching

It has long been said by many coaches that the secret to getting your coaching practice up and running is by public speaking. I would be surprised if any of you reading this have not heard this more than once. That said, does this mean that you can just go and and start speaking and see great results? Not always. If you are like me, I did terrible in my speech class in junior high. I shunned any chance of doing anything that came remotely to me speaking publicly. My shyness was an achilles heel, so to speak.

With some practice and training, though you can become a good speaker. Maybe not Les Brown good, but good enough to get paying clients through your talks. We all have to start somewhere. And, sometimes that is by giving free talks at community events and clubs, like Rotary, churches, and chamber of commerce gatherings. If you go to a networking event, the difference between success and failure is by how well you speak. Both individually and to a group.

After 2 years in a local Toastmasters club, I can now say that I am a proficient speaker. Crowds don't bother me, and I feel comfortable talking about any subject. Not everyone has the time to invest to make the transition to great speaker through the various public speaking programs that are out there.

I recently found an excellent free resource on Amazon Kindle that deals not only with public speaking, but impromptu public speaking. Look at my previous posts on Kindle books. You can open a free account, and receive free Kindle e-books, even if you do not own a Kindle reading device.

Magic of Impromptu Speaking: Create a Speech That Will Be Remembered for Years in Under 30 Seconds  by Andrii Sedniev

This is an excellent resource if you are new to public speaking. Reading a book like this and implementing the principles can take years off of the learning curve of public speaking.

Click here to get this book for free from Amazon Kindle.

If you are not utilizing public speaking to get new clients, you should be. This is a goldmine that many coaches refuse to go anywhere near. And, not all who do are good at it. Develop your speaking skills and you can be ahead of the competition.

If you have any questions, please contact me: info@100coachingtips.com

And, if you have not downloaded your free coaching tools, valued at over $1700, go to www.100coachingtips.com . After you sign up, go to the member's only tab and you can download from there.

The weekend is fast approaching. Let's make Friday count!

Free graphic creator and photo editor

Do you know how to create graphics? This is something that has always confused me. My oldest child can whip out graphics faster than I can describe them. What is the secret? One time..., and I say one time was all it took, I tried GiMP. I believe GiMP is now called GNU. Please be patient if I mispelled either if those. It was the most confusing program I had ever tried. I could not get anything to work right.

Well, after some research, I found it hiding in plain view. Pic Monkey is a free site that allows you to edit photos and create graphics. It allows you to do many different things without signing in or buying anything.

If you need to create a new header or web graphic, Pic Monkey has the capability to create simple web graphics. You can resize, change colors, and add text. It's really simple too. I can create and design headers in less than 20 minutes. This beats hiring a graphic designer and waiting for hours or days to get the project back. And then, discovering that it needs more work, or is not what you are looking for.

I'm sure there are other sites out there, and even software available. But if you are like me, you don't have the time to learn an entire new program. I prefer Pic Monkey over Microsoft Photo Editor. As far as ease of use and a graphic that meets my approval, Pic Monkey is the way to go.

www.picmonkey.com  is where you can find this gem of a site.

Here are some tutorial videos that explain how it works:

There are many more YouTube videos that show how to use Pic Monkey. I selected 2 that had narration and were easy to follow.

If you are a first time reader here, let me say welcome. Feel free to go back through the archives and see the other free resource blog posts.

Your Money is in Your List

We've all heard it said before. And, it is true. The way for coaches to make money or more money is by having a large and responsive list. But, how do we get the list? Where do I find the resources to build that list? Should I buy my list? There are as many list building resources as there are internet users it seems.

If you are like me, you have struggled to build your list. Did you do a live event, and no one showed up? Are the responses to your email offers anemic? And that's putting it nicely. Hey, we've all been there.

I have recently found a free list building event. Unfortunately, I did not find it before it began, but that's ok. The List-A-Palooza 90 day challenge is only in week 3. That leaves 9 more weeks of exciting interviews, great ideas to help build your list, and power hours, where you web presence is made known to the community.

The List-A-Palooza event is founded by PJ Van Hulle. She is one of the best kept secrets in the coaching industry today. She has built her own email list from scratch, after events beyond her control caused her to lose her first business. PJ got right back to work and found the techniques to build an effective list quickly and easily.

The interviews are live each week, and free by the way. If you can't make the interview, you can purchase the entire event's recordings for only $27. That's right $27! I realize I promote free coaching resources, but in case, like me, you missed the start, you can glean all the information for a miniscule fee. This figures out to less than $1.04 per interview. And you can download these interviews, so they're yours forever.

Also, PJ has a separate free report called "How to Jump Start Your Email List." This report is excellent if you are just starting out, or struggling to build your list.

Remember, the most important resource for you to build your coaching empire is your list. Build it, nurture it, and provide service to it. And, PJ has done all of the research for you. She knows what works and what doesn't. Don't waste years of your life on methods that don't work.

What in the world do I need a life coach for?

Today's free coaching resource is a free kindle book. "What In The World Do I Need A Life Coach For?" is a quick reading kindle book by Christopher A Pinckley.

Don't discount the short length of this book. It is full of practical, basic information on life coaching. If you are new to life coaching you will get several ideas from this concise book. If you are a veteran life coach, you may get a new perspective from this brief tome.

Reading through it, I saw several ways that life coaches can serve their community or tribe. There are no earth shattering secrets revealed here. Just a tell it like it is, short and to the point book on how life coaches can help people today.

Being a weekend, I thought it best for a short read, rather than a lengthy syllabus. Please have a safe and happy weekend. And, Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there.

Get more traffic to your coaching website

I could take an old saying and revise it: You can never be too rich, or have too much website traffic.
Corny, but true. We can all use more traffic to our sites. And, if you are like me you are deluged by people wanting to sell you their latest "traffic getting" secret weapon. And, if you are also like me, you have spent more money than you can remember on those products and have little or nothing to show for it.

If you have tried to find just some basic information on increasing website traffic, you may be confused by the plethora of results. So many different techniques to implement. It's like getting a part time job just to get people to your site.

Let me say at the front, there is no way to drive thousands to your site daily when you have been averaging 5 visitors a day. The only exception to this is if Oprah mentions your website on one of her shows. By the way, Oprah, I'm waiting......

There are ways to implement certain things that will get you more traffic. It builds steadily and progressively. This is a process that works over time, not an explosive overnight growth.

My friend, Sarah Santacroce, at www.simplicityadmins.com has developed a simple and practical way to get more traffic. 21 Ways to Get More Traffic is a guide that will work for anyone, not just coaches, to get more website traffic.

Tribes: The Case Studies

A few years ago Seth Godin wrote the book Tribes. This book practically turned the coaching industry and several other industries on its head. If you have not heard of Tribes by Seth Godin, please check into it.

If you are having trouble defining your niche, Seth's book can deliver clarity to you in this search. A tribe very simply put, is the community you serve. If you already have experience refining your niche, you know that a specialized niche is more profitable than a general one.

It's been said before many times, and I will say it again, you cannot coach everyone. By trying to be something to everybody, you become nothing to everybody. Find your niche, refine it, and serve it.

After Tribes was released, some of Seth's readers sent their stories about tribes into him. He compiled it into a free ebook. It is not all about coaching, but there are some interesting stories in there.

You can get your copy of Tribes: The Case Studies by clicking here

Also, another excellent free resource is Seth's Tribes Squidoo lens. He has excellent resources posted. Click here

Interview with James Malinchak

For today's free coaching resource we go back through our archives to James Malinchak. If you are not familiar with James Malinchak, he is the founder of Big Money Speaker Bootcamp, and past star of ABC's Secret Millionaire.

It's no secret that the best tool for your coaching practice to get more clients is through public speaking. You have the opportunity to present your services to a room full of people, and with the right components, you can have a new stream of prospects.

Bart has attended the Big Money Speaker Bootcamp 4 times now. Each time it is packed with cutting edge information that will help you transform your coaching practice. He basically gives you an entire weekend of information that can put you at the top of your niche.

This interview takes place in November of 2012. James covers several points that are relevant to coaches.
Such as:

• Why you have to increase your price and one sure-fire way to change your mindset about  money.

• How high end coaching programs serve both you and your clients.
• How to break free from the hours for dollars fee structure.

• Why you must start speaking in any one of the 3 forms of speaking (James tells you all three and 2 of them you do NOT have to leave your home town)

You will also hear a special offer from James to our listeners. At this time, there is not a bootcamp scheduled. But when it comes back around, we will inform our readers, so they can utilize the special price.

Also, here is a YouTube video of our Co-Founder Bart Baggett talking about his experiences at the James Malinchak bootcamps.

Is your coaching niche profitable?

For today's update at Free Coaching Resources, I went back and read some of the emails you have sent me. One of the most frequently asked questions is: Why is it so hard to get paying clients?

I know for a fact some of you are working hard and doing a truckload of free sessions, only to hear at the end of each free session "no thanks." What happened? What went wrong? Maybe nothing.

There are several important foundational steps to having a successful coaching practice. One of the pivotal ones is having a profitable niche. You can have the first page of Google and 100,000 social media followers, but if your niche is not a profitable one, it won't matter. We have all heard it said,"Do what you love and the money will follow." But at the same time, you need to determine if what you love is a profitable niche.

We are at a crossroads in our lifetimes. Because of the subprime collapse of 2007, and subsequent stock market crash, as well as all of the other financial disasters that have beset our world, people are more results oriented than ever. There is very little impulse buying compared to 2006. People today want to know what they are getting and what it is going to cost.

Gone are the days of buying something and not caring whether it works out or not. People who are buying coaching programs and coaching services are doing so to solve a problem in their life.

Think of it like this, if you woke up this morning with a headache, you want something to make the headache go away. Aspirin or any other headache remedy, whatever works, is fine with you. Do you care where the manufacturer of the headache remedy is located? Where their employees went to school? Of course not! Neither do the people needing the solutions you can provide care about your specifics. Your prospect has woke up with a "headache" and they want it to go away. If they can find you, and can find your "solution" without having to wade through pages of irrevelent info, you will have a client.

Couple this "headache" metaphor with the typical consciousness in our world around that "money is tight" and you have a market where people are looking to make their "headaches" go away, fast and with results that justify the expense.

This is where your niche selection is so important. You must be able to get in front of the right people in your niche and cut through the "fluff" to help them.

My friend, Carey Peters at Holistic MBA, has created a free niche starter kit. It is designed to help you determine if your niche is profitable, and also how to "narrow your niche." If you are having difficulty getting paying clients, give this free coaching resource a try.

What if you could reprogram your mind about money?

Here at Free Coaching Resources we strive to bring you the best free resources on the web today. We update these daily.

All life coaches deal with mindset issues with their clients daily. Without going into mindset definitions, debates, and discourses, it is how you feel about certain things. Do you think you will be passed over for promotion? This is your mindset about that promotion.

Can mindset be changed? Short answer, yes. Some can do it very quickly. Others take some time adjusting to a new mindset. There is no hard and fast answer for everyone. I am one that takes some time to change mindset. I guess I'm more stubborn than most. Don't laugh at that. Okay, you are laughing anyway.

We have found an excellent money mindset workbook on Kindle. Please keep reading. If you don't own a Kindle, you can still get a free Kindle account. You can have Kindle ebooks sent to many different devices. They can be sent to your PC computer, Apple PC, your iPad, iPod, various tablets, and some smart phones.

To access today's free resource, you will need a Kindle account, if you do not already have one.

To set up a free kindle account, go to www.kindle.amazon.com

The money mindset workbook we have found is called Mind Over Money: How to Program Your Mind for Wealth by Ilya Alexi. This ebook is a 30 workbook that takes you through various exercises to reset your mindset about money. We have all had financial setbacks. What sets those who bounce back quickly, and those who don't, is a good money mindset.

I have personally read and gone through this 30 workbook of exercises. It has a simple, yet practical way of changing your money mindset. This book is free right now on Amazon Kindle.

Are you confused by all of the people who want to help you write a book?

Are you confused by all of the people who want to help you write a book? I know I am. In the last month, I have received over 150 emails from people wanting to help me write a book, or a Kindle e-book. Just going through the emails was overwhelming. I could write a book on people who want to help me write a book! Lol! No wait, that just might work. Just kidding though.

I do have a free resource by way of an audio interview from the 100 Coaching Tip archives with Rick Frishman. Rick Frishman is the founder of Author 101. You can look at his website here. This is a 2 for 1 free coaching resource today, because if you go to Rick's site, he has a free report with lots of valuable information on it for writers.

Rick is probably the best known person in the literary world that you have never heard of. He is a 30 year veteran of the publishing world, and an author himself. Two of his most famous author discoveries are Brendon Burchard and Timothy Ferriss. In the interview he tells of their story and how he helped guide them to publishing their best selling books.

In the interview, Rick also mentions about discount tickets to his event. This event has already transpired, but we will keep you updated for his next event. Rick typically only does one live event a year.

Click here to access the audio interview
Rick Frishman

We hope you enjoy this free interview. And, maybe it gave you some ideas on how to publish your own book.

Free Coaching Resources

All coaches need to be updating our skillsets and toolboxes as we continue on in our coaching journey. If you are just starting out, or have experienced some setbacks, you may not have the money to invest in books and courses. Especially, if you are just getting your feet wet in a new area. Hence the creation of Free Coaching Resources.

What if you could get free self help e-books, videos, and tools delivered to your email inbox daily? I found just such a service about 2 months ago. True to his word, Steven Aitchison delivers on his promise. Each day I receive his email with the free self help e-book. Being a self-help/ personal growth enthusiast over the last 5 years, I knew some of the material he was giving. However, there were also several new discoveries in these last 2 months. Even better, was re-discovering self help tools that I had not thought about in years. I always enjoy reflecting back on how far my own journey has taken me.

If you have never heard of Steve Aitchison, he is the author of 4 books and the author of the blog Change Your Thoughts Change Your Life. He has travelled a self help journey over the last 20 years that has seen many positive changes and results. Steven is also the #1 personal development blogger in the UK. He is a family man, married to his beautiful wife, and has two great sons.

Simply click here to get free self help books from Steven Aitchison

We only recommend free resources that we have personally tried and can vouch for their veracity.
