Free Webinar: Start Your Own Coaching Website

Greetings Fellow Coaches,

At Free Coaching Resources we strive to bring to your attention the latest and best free coaching tools & resources.

We are having a live webinar for our members and readers on September 26 at 6pm PDT (California time).

We surveyed the audience of our last webinar and realized that many coaches do not have their own website. There are many reasons that were given to us as to why.

Reasons such as:

* It's too confusing

* It's too expensive

* I cannot write code

* I have no idea where to start

* Every guru is telling me something different

* I don't have hundreds of hours to learn this stuff

I know first hand that it can be somewhat confusing to start your own coaching website. Many have sat through other calls and been told by the guru that they have to buy the guru's package to build their own website.

I have also heard several gurus say, "You don't have to have your own website." But, you know what? Every one of those gurus has their own website. In today's market, you need to have your own website, and it's not as confusing or overwhelming as you might think.

This webinar will be different, in that, if you watch the webinar, and take notes, you will have the basic knowledge to start your own website. That's right, I will pull back the curtain and show you the tricks of the trade that I either learned the hard way, or paid money to learn. After this webinar, there will not be any reason that you cannot have your own website.

In this webinar you will learn:

* Where to buy your domain names

* How many domain names do you actually need

* What is a good hosting company?

* What is Wordpress, and how do you use it

* Which template is best

* How much will this actually cost to do

* How can my website be found by the search engines

* Free webdesign tools on the internet that everyone can use

* Do you need a shopping cart service

* Where can you find a free shopping cart service

* What you actually need to start

If you have been hesitant about starting your own coaching website, watch this webinar. I will explain from start to finish how to create your own website. I will have actual screenshots that will show you how easy it is, and I will even tell you what prices are fair to pay to get a website up and running.

And best of all, one lucky person on this webinar will win a free Coaching Website Makeover. What if you don't have your own website yet? I will give you the basic format that you can use to build your own coaching website.

I will also answer any questions you may have about starting your own website. The time is now to take control of your coaching practice and put it on the map. And the time has never been better for you to do so.

You can access this live webinar at: http://instantteleseminar.com/?eventID=46238691

The PDF for this event will be available the day of the webinar. You will be able to access the PDF download here.

We hope to see you on the webinar.

Also, if you have not received your free coaching resources from our website www.100coachingtips.com, you can get them now by filling out the optin form at the top left of this blog. Over $1700 in free coaching tools & resources that you can use to begin transforming your coaching practice.

Free e-book: Pinterest- Fun & Profit

Hello fellow coaches,

Sometimes the very thing I'm looking for falls into my lap, and even better, I can share it in this blog. That's what happened with today's Free Coaching Resource. I had put learning Pinterest on my to do list some time ago, but it was moved to the back burner. I had read one book on it, but it was entirely from a user perspective and not a business one. My teenage daughters use Pinterest, but purely from the standpoint of posting and sharing funny pictures. I was beginning to think that Pinterest is only for people to share recipes, pictures, and funny stories. There's nothing wrong with that, but if that were the case, I'd have no desire to join Pinterest.

Today on Book Gorilla, Lambert Klein's book "Pinterest For Beginners: Fun & Profit" was on the free Kindle book list. This is an excellent resource for learning Pinterest, and also finding out if it can benefit your coaching practice. I was surprised by some of the stats in this book:

  • 68.2% of Pinterest users are women (some sources say 87%)
  • 97% of Facebook fans of Pinterest are women
  • 28.1% of users on Pinterest have an annual household income of over $100,000 USD
  • 50% of Pinterest users have children

Now this is beginning to look appealing to me. Perhaps even another potential lead source. As I continued reading, there were even more interesting statistics, by way of age demographics:

  • ages 12-17         4.1%
  • ages 18-24        17.3%
  • ages 25-34        27.4%
  • ages 35-44        22.1%
  • ages 45-54        17.9%

Now the demographics are coming into sharper focus. This is definitely a viable social media network. But, how do you tap it? Fortunately, the author has an entire chapter of Marketing on Pinterest. Also, he does not sugar coat the statistics. Even though this is an incredibly qualified potential lead source, you cannot just go out like a spammer and see any lasting results.

According to Lambert, you have to recommend and suggest. That is even more effective if it is being done from a 3rd person party. Spammers will not do any good in the Pinterest universe. So, I had to ditch the idea of just running out and promoting every product and affiliate product I coud think of. Drats, spoiled again. Lol.

The most effective way to use Pinterest from a business standpoint is to utilize it to drive traffic to your blog. Other ways are: non-profits, freelancers, and authors promoting books. This narrows it down somewhat, but I think it still could be a benefit to life coaches.

The author even gives links to learn the more advanced Pinterest strategies.

2 Free Kindle books that are great for new coaches

Today's free coaching resource is a 2 for 1 special. These are free Kindle ebooks that can help you build your coaching practice. They cover two very important topics to building a coaching practice: blogging and writing Kindle ebooks.

Both of these books are quick reads. They get right to the point and skip the unnecessary fluff. Whether you are new to this, or you've been around for a while, there is plenty of good information in both of these books that can put you ahead of the competition.

The first is a book on blogging by Steve Scott. "How to Start a Successful Blog in One Hour" is a roadmap to getting your blog out there and getting traffic. The author explains where to start and how to set up a blog that gets noticed by the search engines, and gets you readers and subscribers.

I like how the author gets right to the point, and covers all of the valuable tips that separate successful blogs from everyone else's. This is some of the same information that I find myself having to cover with new coaching clients that do not have a blog yet. I will definitely be recommending this ebook to all of my clients and prospective clients.

The next free coaching resource of the day is a Kindle ebook by Anbu Rayappan. His book "Non-Fiction Writing Machine: How to Write a Book in 5 1/2 Days in 3 Simple Steps" is an excellent foundation to use when writing your first book.  If you have never tried writing a book, this can be a blueprint to build an empire of your life's work in a digital book form. When writing Kindle ebooks, you do not have to get publisher approval, worry about creative control, fret over deadlines, and the multitude of problems that occur when using a publishing service. With the Kindle platform, you write the material, upload it to Kindle, and it is listed and live for your prospects. Just like that, no middle men, no unnecessary fees, and best of all, you keep entire control of your body of work.

The author provides his information in a simple "paint by the numbers" if you will. Steps like choosing the right topic, how to structure a non-fiction book, the writing process, and a helpful checklist to make sure you don't leave anything out. The author shows a realistic plan to write your book of 10,000 words (only 40 pages) in 5 days, but only 2 hours a day of writing.

How many books could you write in a month, if you went by this plan? Don't have any published works yet? This can be a game changer for you and your coaching practice.

Also, remember that the Kindle reader is free for any electronic device. Simply go to www.kindle.amazon.com and set up a free Kindle account and you can start downloading Kindle ebooks, even if you do not own an actual Kindle device.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Stop Fighting Your Weight: 10 Things You Wish You Knew

Today's free coaching resource is about weight loss. The dreaded subject. No matter what your current status is, everyone has a strong opinion about this. I had been debating for some time now about doing a blog on weight issues. Frankly, because I, myself am trying to lose weight. But, I feel it is of utmost importance in the USA and for that matter, everywhere.

In coaching, there are 3 large categories that cover most of the coaching business. They are: 1. How to make more money 2. Weight loss and 3. Finding your soulmate (relationships). They also fall into that order in the money people spend to help them with those issues.

As far as consumer money spent, weight loss actually edges the money subject to number 2. People, whether they are hiring coaches or not, are always spending money on weight loss products. Whether it is diet books, supplements, and fitness videos. Add in the gym memberships, and you can see why weight loss ranks so high in the amount of money people spend.

I won't go into the other 2 subjects today, because weight loss is significant enough to warrant its own post. But, I dare say, if you are a life coach, your niche and coaching practice falls into one of the 3 subjects.

I am a big believer in mindset retraining and reconditioning. Whether it is business or personal matters, your mindset determines the likelihood of your success. I have found over the last 4 years, that when my mindset is right about a matter I am dealing with, 90% of the battle is won. Weight loss is no exception. If your mindset is right, you can accomplish so much more in the areas you desire to change.

I found a free Kindle ebook on this subject this morning. "how to...Stop Fighting Your Weight: 10 Things You Wish You Knew" by Daniel Speraw is an excellent free coaching resource that every life coach should have.

Click here for this free Kindle ebook

I started reading some of this book this morning and I have to say, it is sound in its philosophy. This is not a lose 30 pounds overnight plan. Or, a fad diet, that guarantees unbelievable results. This ebook goes into the mindset issues around weight loss, and may give you a different perspective on it. The author gives several methods to apply to your current mindset. Again, this is not a "radical cure" or a "miracle drug." It is several principles designed to help you change your mindset about weight loss.

I have been on the same hamster wheel that so many people are on. Lose some weight, and then gain it back with some extra. However, I have spent the time to change my mindset about my own weight and how to lose the unwanted weight I have carried around for over 20 years now. I had come to these conclusions through personal study, and lifestyle changes. I have seen results in my own journey.

I have not seen anything really new or ground breaking in this book, but it would have really helped when I was trying to figure these things out on my own. I encourage all of our readers, if you have issues about your weight, get the book and read through it. It will help get you on the right road to seeing the results you desire.

Also, seeing as this is the day after July 4, when so many of us find it hard to stick to our diets, I feel that its a fitting time to broach the subject. Let me know what you think after you read this book. My coaching specialty is not weight loss, but I do enjoy discussing all subjects with fellow coaches.

I hope everyone enjoyed a safe and happy 4th of July. My thoughts and prayers to those injured in the unfortunate accident in California. It is a shame when accidents like that happen. Hopefully, the appropriate steps can be taken to prevent occurences like that in the future.

Also, for my new readers, we have over $1700 in free coaching resources available for you to download at www.100coachingtips.com . Sign up and you can start downloading these valuable tools to restructure your coaching practice.

Red Hot Internet Publicity

Today's free coaching resource comes to us by way of Amazon Kindle. Red Hot Internet Publicity is an information packed book that teaches new coaches and experienced pros, the ins and outs of getting more website traffic.

Perusing through this book, I must say it is very comprehensive in its scope. Starting out with SEO and your website, and then social media, blogging, and driving traffic, it delivers ideas on how to make your web presence "red hot."

There are the basics as well as advanced tips for everyone to have a website that gets more traffic, more prospects, and converts more sales.

Click here to get this free Kindle ebook

If your website needs a makeover, or it is not making you money, this is a book you need. In coaching, the purpose of your website is to make you money. Your coaching website should not be a hobby, but a cash machine. It should be built to accomplish this. Before you start building your site, you should keep this in mind.

I know some of you may be saying, "This is not what I signed up for when I decided to become a life coach." But, sales and marketing is the life blood of any business. Your coaching practice is your business, and it should reflect it, as well.

If you are doing this solo, without a web designer, I suggest taking it a little at a time. Don't try to accomplish it all at once. You will be overwhelmed. If you do have a web designer, this will give you something to point out the direction you want your site to go. Remember, your site does not have to be the best on the web, but it must be better than your competitor's.

I especially like how the author broke down each facet of social media. Again, from my own experience, and my client's experience, start with one social media network. And, as you gain experience and proficiency, you can add another. The main purpose of your social media presence is to drive traffic to your site.

There is so much more to this book, as well. How to do effective blogging. Using video to drive more traffic to your site. And, some very good information on building mobile friendly websites.

There are added resources at the end of this book that can help you find the right web hosting company and design a vibrant, thriving website that builds your coaching practice to the level you desire.

Please get this free coaching resource, and let me know what you think. Email me at info@100coachingtips.com

And for my new readers, you can get over $1700 in free coaching resources to download at www.100coachingtips.com . Simply sign in, and download these tools from some of the best coaches in the business. These resources are yours to keep.

The weekend is fast upon us. Let's enjoy, recharge, and plan for an exciting week.

We at 100 Coaching Tips wish all of you: More Clients, More Money, and More Life!

Paul Berry wants to reinvent website design

Today's free coaching resource is a bit of a surprise. Before reading an article earlier today, I had never heard of Rebel Mouse. It was created by Paul Berry. Paul created The Huffington Post in 2007, from scratch. He built one of the most dynamic websites in history.

Now he has revolutionized websites for everyone. Now you can create a website without any prior website building experience, and it will pull your social media posts in and post them on your site. Its purpose is to help create a visual presence on the web with social media. How does this differ from FlipBoard and other similiar sites? Mainly, it is editorial control. You can move items around on your page, and change or delete items as well.

Rebel Mouse can also be embedded into other sites such as Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr, and Weebly. If you would like to see an example of a Rebel Mouse site, check out http://paulcarr.com/.
This is just one example of how a Rebel Mouse site can be designed.

It seems that this may be a sign of coming websites in the next wave of websites with continually updated fresh content. He has struck such a chord in the internet sphere that Yahoo and Mashable are testing his service. I looked at some of his clients and the first one that popped out at me was Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad.

Being a free coaching resource, it has to meet certain criteria. Namely, it has to have at least one feature that is free. Rebel Mouse does have a beginner package that is totally free. You can upgrade if you want more premium features.

I am going to be checking out some of the Rebel Mouse features myself, and see if it will enhance the overall experience of our 100 Coaching Tips site. I am going to keep our basic site premise, though. I don't know exactly how it will work. I would suggest taking a look at his site and see if this is something that would interest you. I am not saying change your websites to complete Rebel Mouse. I can see this working for some of my coaching clients who have trouble trying to build a WordPress site. Remember, there is more than one flavor of ice cream for a reason. We all like different things.

Again, check this out, see what you think, and let me know. Either here in the comments section, or email me at: info@100coachingtips.com.

For my new readers out there, please claim your free coaching gifts from us. They are valued at over $1700. Go to www.100coachingtips.com, sign up and you can start downloading. No waiting period, no strings attached.

Our mission is simple: Help Life Coaches Make More Money.

Until next time, we wish you: More Clients, More Money, and More Life!

The most simple social media tool I have found

Today's free coaching resource is one I'm sure you have all heard of, but either do not use it, or quit using it. Hoot Suite is one of the most effective ways to get you blog posts, articles, and offers out on social media without having to actually go to each social media page or group and enter them by hand.

I discovered in the early days that if you try to make your social media networks aware of your new content by visiting each one individually, it takes significant time. I used to post to Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, and my 50 Linkedin groups individually. This took about an hour and a half, if everything went smoothly. I tried HootSuite, and I was hooked! I can post to over 100 social media profiles in mere minutes. (All of these profiles are mine, or I'm a group member of them. You cannot post to someone's social media profile without their permission.) Currently I post to 108 total profiles and it takes about 3 minutes. I even schedule these posts in advance, if I see I will be away for a few days.

Most coaches I have spoken with try the free version of Hoot Suite, which allows 4 social media profiles. They try it for a while, but for some reason fail to continue. I will state this again to new coaches: If you are a new coach, without a large network, you will get significant traffic from social media, if done right.

I discovered that Hoot Suite also has a Pro plan, or a paid plan. This costs me $9.97 a month to be able to send unlimited social media broadcasts to my profiles. If you are in Linkedin groups, you can have your Hoot Suite posts appear in the group activity. (With group permission, of course.) Also, you can post to your Facebook profile and your Facebook fanpage. And, Twitter becomes a breeze with Hoot Suite.

Hoot Suite also has built in analytics report builders. If you have Google analytics, you can permit Hoot Suite to perform reports at your specified schedule. If you have ever seen an ow.ly link, this is Hoot Suite analytics. It can tell you where you traffic source came from and if it is a unique visit. Most new visitors come to this blog from Linkedin discussions that I submit through Hoot Suite.

Best of all, Hoot Suite is offering a 30 day free trial of their Pro plan. Try it and if you don't like it, you can stay with a free account with no strings attached. Not to sound too "pitchy" here, but WAIT THERE'S MORE..., sorry Lol. I've always wanted to do that. After my 30 day free trial, I was so impressed, I signed up for the Pro plan, and have used it ever since. You can also post to Youtube, Reddit, Stumbleupon, and many more networks, at no additional cost in the Pro plan.

Simply click on one of the HootSuite graphics and get started with your free trial today.

HootSuite: Social Media Management for Business

If you would like to contact me directly, and talk about HootSuite of any other coaching matter, please email me at info@100coachingtips.com

And to my new readers out there, please download your free coaching gifts worth over $1700. Go to www.100coachingtips.com , sign up and you can start downloading. These coaching gifts are yours to keep.

Well, Monday is now over, and we are one day closer to the weekend!

Free SEO Toolbox

Today's free coaching resource is buffet of all you can use SEO tools. SEO and content creation and content repurposing is a critically important factor in getting you website discovered and keeping it at the top of search engine rankings. But, more content may not be better. If, you content is not original, or at least 70% original, you might get penalized by search engines.

Being penalized by search engines bad, but not neccessarily the death knell of your site. The worst case scenario is the search engines will block your site from being listed due to duplicate content, or plagiarized content.

In the days before Google Penguin and Panda, if you needed content, you went to a competitor's site and swiped content, 100%. Many people didn't change it, not even a word. Today, that will get you blocked by every search engine there is. I strongly urge you not to copy anyone's content.

The advent of Penguin and Panda not only prevents you from swiping someone's content, but will also ding you if you are posting duplicate content as well. Duplicate content is when you re-use a page or blog with no changes, while citing the work as 100% original. If you do this too many times, you can ruin your name with search engines.

All of this said, I do recommend re-purposing your content. How is this done? You take the article or blog post that you have just written, and re-write it using different wording, but it still has the same overall theme. This can be burdensome to say the least, if you are doing this with no help. It reminds me of school, when we used to do "research" papers by re-writing what the Encyclopedia Britannica said. I'm not saying I did it. It's just what I heard.....Um,yeah

But, there is good news out there. I have found a free seo tool website that allows you to use their seo tools not only free, but 100% no strings attached. No signing in, no registering, and no agreements. This is not a free trial, then an ongoing monthly expense. This is one of the best tools for seo beginners I have found yet.

www.smallseotools.com

This is so much more than just an article checker or rewriter. It lets you check Google page rank, check backlinks, and do reverse IP checking just to name a few features. Personally, I have purchased programs that did not do this much. It also has an article rewriter that is one of the easiest to use that I have ever seen. And it has a web "pingler." This is their own term for a pinger. A pinger or pingler lets you notify search engines when you have a new web page or blog posted.
Otherwise, you have to wait for them to get to you.

They also have a backlink creator. Let me issue a word of caution here. Be very careful letting someone else generate backlinks for you. Too many backlinks at a time sets off alarms at search engines, letting them know it is fake. Also, never buy backlinks. This is prohibited by search engines, and is a sure way to get your website knocked off the search engines for good.

I do recommend you check out www.smallseotools.com . It is a great resource on the web. If you are just starting out, this can be a game changer for your coaching business.

Also, if you want to contact me: info@100coachingips.com. I am always happy to hear from you, and answer any questions. I also appreciate your kind comments.

And, if you haven't already, please obtain your free coaching tools worth over $1700. Go to www.100coachingtips.com and sign up. You can then begin downloading these tools, no strings attached.

Ahhh, the weekend is over far too fast. Back to the grind. I hop everyone has a great week.

And remember..... we wish you: More Clients, More Money, and More Life!

Steve Davis

7 Days to a Successful Blog

Whether we like it or not, blogging is a must if you are going to build a community of prospects for your coaching practice. Maybe you are just starting out. Maybe you are a seasoned veteran. But, whatever you would categorize yourself as, blogging is as much of a successful web presence as your website. Maybe even more, depending on who you ask.

Maybe you didn't realize the importance of blogging when you decided to become a life coach. Maybe, when getting your training and becoming a life coach, blogging was never mentioned or taught to you. But, whatever reason, there is no excuse for not blogging. I'm not speaking of the blogging so many do, that talks about what they had for breakfast, or who broke up with whom. I'm talking about delivering high quality content to your tribe or community through your blog.

There are so many ways to start blogging. And, there are many more people out there who want to tell you how to blog. The possibilities are practically endless. But, we all must start somewhere. So where do you start?

For today's free coaching resource, I have found a free 7 day video bootcamp that will show you how to be a successful blogger. This free video series will show you what options there are, and how to get started.

I have viewed the videos and they are full of useful information to help you get a step ahead of the competition. Click here to sign up for the free 7 day video bootcamp. Doon't let the word bootcamp scare you off. These videos are concise and to the point. They show you what you need to know without the senseless drivel or self aggrandizement that is common today.

Please take some time to check this out. I think everyone can learn something from these videos.

Also, the weekend is almost over. Where does the time go? Take some time to enjoy life, whether spending it with friends and family, or resting and recharging for the upcoming week.

If you would like to contact me: info@100coachingtips.com

And to our new readers, which we get quite a few each day, please go to www.100coachingtips.com and sign up, and you can download $1700 worth of free coaching tools.

We here at 100 Coaching Tips wish all of you: More Clients, More Money, and More Life!

Respectfully yours,

Steve Davis
